We just celebrated Easter a few weeks ago. Easter is when we eat Easter eggs, mmmm... we know that Easter is celebrated for two reasons. The first is when Lord Christ went to heaven and the second is to celebrate the start of spring. "We need not worry about the crops", said a farmer in the early times.
Birds used to stay on the trees as they lay eggs so the people made easter eggs. They also made Easter rabbits as the rabbits would come out in spring. This is the real Easter. But Jesus Christ went to heaven on the same day so people worship Lord Christ on the same day.

What did you do on the Easter holiday?
In Europe they hide the eggs in the garden and the children look for them.
So here since we do not have gardens I used to hide the eggs, marzipan easter eggs, in the house with clues like a treasure hunt. and after the Easter Mass the children would have fun looking for them. Your mum could do this for you next Easter.
