Description of a dustbin

This is a dustbin. People don't use it much but it is a tribute to cleanliness. People used to love using dustbins in the 19th and the 20th century but now dustbins are history. Nobody remembers them sometimes even me !

People just chuck garbage on the roads. It's mainly in India - the poor people eat from garbage bins and rich people throw everything dirty on to the road. Nobody cares about using dustbins. Dustbins are meant for clean and green cities. People throw away everything on the road and the road has to take all the effort to take the dirt to the dustbins. Sometimes it is impossible.

Many people have set up anti-dirt clubs but it's useless. A dustbin is meant for throwing of garbage but people don't listen. It's very sad.

The assembly in school

On friday during assembly, we heard that it was our principal's birthday. We were extremely happy on hearing this. S Sir took a lot of trouble to teach the choir boys, our principal, Mr. P M's birthday song. Then we saw the birthday cake and everybody broke out in song "Happy birthday Sir" when our principal cut the cake. When we were going back to our classroom, each of us got a chocolate biscuit. I was very pleased.

My favourite games

My favourite games are chess and basketball. I like basketball because bouncing the ball is lots of fun. I like chess as it's a mindbender and also because you have to think before you make a move. Otherwise you will lose. That doesn't really matter because both ways you get the same benefit - You learn more.

Basketball is fun because of the speed it takes to get past the other team.The other team has to be strong as well if you want to go past them. I like these games because they make you think about where to move and how to make the perfect traps.

My first week in Class 3

Hello. Let me tell you about my first week in Class 3. On the first day of school I found out that I had been separated from my best friend V. I wasn't very sad because I thought he would play with me but I was wrong because he started hitting me. So I made new friends. They are A, R, R and M.

So you see, my friend V is very jealous as I have so many friends and he has only one friend P G. P G was one of my friends too but not any more. Our teacher Mrs. F makes us laugh a lot by making jokes about every one. I like many subjects as well. My top 5 are
1. Science
2. E.V.S.
3. Mental Math
4. Math
5. P.T.

So far my week has been very good and I want the rest of the term to be as good.

A visit to the zoo

It was a sunny Saturday morning when I went to the zoo. All the animals were in a peaceful mood until .... Roar ! The king of the forest was angry. He hadn't got his steak. So all the people in the zoo were running about trying to take pictures of the lion. The crocodiles got scared. Oh! What a sight. You should have seen the faces of the people.

Who do we see now ? Merman the giraffe! All those spots !! The zebras should not be missed out. Very nice animals who are always polite to you. The hippo is very gentle but the people were upseting it by teasing, taking photos and throwing stones.
